Jonathan Emeruwa

​


Jonathan Emeruwa is an experimental composer, music archivist, mental health counsellor and sound engineer for the Ambientscape Project. He is an avid record collector particularly of African, indigenous and world music, as well as British and European wax cylinders. As a composer he is influenced by sacred, shamanic and folkloric songs, and is a research fellow with the British Library where his area of interest is in 'Melodic arrangement and its affect on memory for the healing of past trauma, separation and loss.' He has studied at both The Tavistock Clinic and The University of East London and works with the Children’s Mental Health Charity, Place2Be.
